Rubber Flooring Pool Surrounds

Whether it is for a new pool build or to change the appearance of an existing pool surround, indoor or outside our rubber flooring is ideal as it’s flexible, strong and practical – a beautiful surface that offers superb comfort and safety indoors or out. The rubber chips are a beautiful choice for swimming pool surrounds, absorbing water and available in a range of stunning colours and motifs and patterns can be incorporated if required.

The flooring is made up from a mixture of rubber granules and two part epoxy resin, with the granules being ground from virgin sheet rubber and the epoxy resin having a base of inert pigments hardened by a polymine adduct in Benzyl Alcahol.

Safe & non-slip - with virgin EDPM rubber developed specially to provide a comfortable slip resistant surface – even under water.
Seamless - the rubber chips are trowelled into place, providing a continuous surface around pillars or curved areas without the need for cutting and grouting tiles or paving.
Free draining - the rubber floor will allow water to disappear and run undetected over the sub surface to a pre-prepared outlet without the need for unsightly drainage channels.
Strong and hardwearing - an all weather permanent surface which will accommodate continuous wear and will not be affected by frost. its flexible qualities make it perfect to cover existing cracked or uneven surfaces.
Cool & comfortable - not only is the rubber flooring soft and comfortable underfoot, but it stays cool to walk on in hot weather around the pool or patio.
Versitile- the rubber flooring can be used in changing rooms, patio areas, corridors and leisure areas where it is often so much more attractive to match one surface to all these difference applications. not only does the rubber flooring suit many uses at home but hotels and a variety of other applications, in fact anywhere a good looking safety surface is required.
Low maintenance- the rubber flooring is easily maintained and should an area become damaged it can be cut-out and simply replaced with new material.

Rubber chips - the rubber chips will adhere to concrete, wood, tarmac, chipboard, fibreglass and most other clean dry sound floors.

The rubber flooring is laid 6mm thick onto a clean, dry, base which can be screed, concrete (if trowel finished) or timber and the base should include provision for any drainage required since water passed through the rubber chips and will flow into the drainage provided at the substrate level.

The rubber flooring must be allowed to cure fully before use. It is very important that on indoor installations, the humidity levels are kept low and that condensation is not allowed to run onto the newly laid surface. The rubber chips can be open to traffic after a minimum of 48 hours but full cure will take 7 days at a temperature of 20/25 degrees C and 10/14 days when colder than this. High humidity and/or foot traffic in damp conditions before a full cure is achieved could result in a clouding of the resin which, though not in any way affecting the performance of the floor can look unsightly and will not entirely disappear for a number of months.
